Terry Clark, Pastor

Terry Clark has been a United Methodist minister since 1988. He has served various churches in the Virginia Conference, most recently, eight years on the Staunton District as pastor of Mint Spring UMC. Terry completed his Religious Studies undergraduate degree from Ferrum College, Ferrum, Virginia. While at Ferrum, he accepted the call into pastoral ministry and as volunteered worship leader during worship at Vaughn Chapel while earning his degree. Terry received his Master of Divinity degree from Eastern Mennonite Seminary, Harrisonburg, Va.

Pastor Terry and his wife both grew up as “preachers’ kids” of United Methodist ministers in the Virginia Conference. He credits his upbringing in the nurturing environment of both his family and the church, along with his educational background, as having a strong influence in his call into ministry and spiritual maturation. He envisions a church where all people come together to learn and grow in love with God and one another and go out into the community and world to make known to others the love of Christ with the goal of making new disciples of Jesus Christ who will be empowered by God to go into the world themselves to change the world for the sake of Christ.

In his last semester at Ferrum College, Terry married Elizabeth “Beth” Rideout Clark, from Charlottesville, Va. Together they are proud parents of a daughter, Ashleigh, age 21, living in Charlottesville, Va. and working at her first job as a professional hair stylist.

His favorite scripture passage from Romans 8:28, 38-39:
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
It is this word of God given to Paul that sustains Terry in his faith journey. “God is everywhere!” Our role is to make God known to the community and the world we live in. We are God’s witnesses today in a world that so desperately needs to hear the Good News!!! Amen! Amen! and Amen!

Donna Quarton, Business Manager

Donna returned to her “roots” as a hair stylist in 1996 in order to be closer to home and have more time with her family. She works at Sensational Family Haircutters in Front Royal and also provides bookkeeping services for Donnie’s business, Parkside Renovations, and Springtime Nursery, also in Front Royal.

Donna began her service as bookkeeper in 1999. She continues to enjoy the “behind-the-scenes” support of all the ministries here at FRUMC.

Donna’s favorite go-to Bible verses are:

Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (NKJV) and

1 John 4:11, “Beloved, since God loved us so much, we ought to love one another.” (NRSV)

Barbara Robinson, Facilities Manager

Barbara Robinson is the Facilities Manager at Front Royal United Methodist Church. She is a life-long member of the church, and has worked at the church for the past ten years.

Barbara graduated from Warren County High School and moved to Roanoke, Virginia the next year. She met Steve McMahan when they both worked at Salem Frame, and they were married by Steve’s father, a United Methodist minister. A couple of years later, they moved to Front Royal and started their family. Steve and Barbara have two daughters, Hannah Grace and Emily Rose.

Barbara enjoys reading, shelling at the beach, sharing a meal with a friend, and of course being there for her family (which includes her church family!)

Barbara prays every day for guidance — to do her work to the best of her ability– with the right attitude– and to always, every day, in every way, serve Him.
